Comfeel Plus Transparent Dressing is a ultra thin and flexible hydrocolloid dressing that allows for monitoring of the healing process without having to disturb the wound and remove the dressing. It is ideal for no to low exuding chronic wounds and superficial acute wounds in the final stages of wound healing. Comfeel Plus Clear may also be used for superficial burns, donor sites, and skin abrasions. This hydrocolloid dressing is made of moisture absorbing sodium carboxymethylcellulouse (CMC) particles encapsulated in a synthetic, adhesive/elastomer matrix. When the dressing comes into contact with wound exudate, it forms a viscous gel that absorbs exudate, but does not adhere to the wound. Comfeel also has a semi-permeable top film that keeps bacteria out and is waterproof which does not allow water to enter the wound. Comfeel Ulcer can stay on for up to 7 days depending on wound exudate. Comfeel can be used as a primary dressing as well as a secondary dressing. Available in 4 sizes.
