Durafiber Gelling Fiber Dressings by Smith & Nephew
Smith & Nephew Durafiber dressings turn into a clear, cool gel on contact with wound exudate. A Durafiber dressing is made of a soft, non-woven pad or ribbon that consists of cellulose ethyl sulphonate fibres. These fibres are highly absorbent and locks the exudate away which provides a moist wound environment and supports autolytic debridement. Durafiber has high integral wet strength allowing to it be easily removed in one peice. Durafiber can be left in place for up to 7 days. Latex free.
