Sorbalgon Ag is a silver calcium alginate dressing that is made of soft, textile fibers of calcium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and ionic silver complex (silver carbonate). Sorbalgon Ag Dressings forms into a soft, non-adhering gel as it absorbs exudate by exchanging calcium ions in the dressing for sodium ions from the exudate to help promote the healing process. This calcium alginate with silver dressing releases silver ions in the presence of wound fluids. It is ideal for moderate to heavy exuding wounds. Sterile and Latex Free!
